NOTHING beats the feeling of finally receiving a parcel or a letter which you have been waiting for.

But unfortunately, that feeling might not be present during the Autumn bank holiday.

Will I receive post on August Bank Holiday?

Royal Mail confirmed on their website that they are not carrying out any collections or deliveries on August 29.

The British mail provider normally never runs their services during any bank holiday throughout the year.

Your mail might be delivered later than August 31.

This is because the Royal Mail staff is going out on strike for some dates in August and September.

They won’t be delivering or holding parcels either.

What are the Bank Holiday dates for 2022?

2022 will bring Brits NINE bank holidays.

It all started with the Substitute New Year’s Day on January 3.

Brits then moved on to Good Friday on April 15, and Easter on April 17.

The UK then enjoyed the Early May Bank Holiday on May 2 before they prepared for a four-day nationwide party in June.

Next up was the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday which saw Brits enjoy a long weekend starting on June 2 with the Spring Holiday and then June 3 in which we celebrated the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

After that, Brits who aren’t shift workers can look forward to the Summer Bank Holiday on August 29, 2022.

But after that, you’ll have to wait till December to have another day off work.

December 26, on which we celebrate Boxing Day, and December 27, which will be a substitute for Christmas Day will be the last two bank holidays of the year.
