If you’re expecting mail, you may want to note that there won’t be any Royal Mail deliveries on Good Friday (April 2) or Easter Monday (April 5).

Postal services will go ahead as normal on Easter Saturday (April 3) as this isn’t a bank holiday.

Royal Mail posties usually deliver letters and parcels six days a week, Monday to Saturday.

Is the Post Office open on Good Friday?

The Post Office hasn’t updated its opening times on its website, so we can’t be sure yet if branches will be open on Good Friday.

We’ve asked for up-to-date hours and we’ll update this article when we get a response.

Last year, the Post Office kept its doors shut on Good Friday, which means you couldn’t use its services.

Typical opening times for Post Offices vary across the country, but during the week they usually open at 8am or 9am and close any time between 3pm and 6pm.

We’re waiting for the Post Office to confirm its Easter Saturday hours.

But last year, branches were open under their usual Saturday opening times.

Again, these vary widely but some shops typically open at 8am or 9am and shut anywhere from 12pm until 6pm.

Is the Post Office open on Easter Sunday?

Post Office branches are closed normally on Sundays, so this will be the case on Easter Sunday.

It means you’ll need to wait to use its services.

Is the Post Office open on Easter Monday?

As post won’t be collected on Easter Monday, it is likely shops will be shut.

Again, we’re awaiting confirmation of this and we’ll update this article.
