A jump in reports was picked up by the Down Detector site just after 10am on Thursday, December 14.

The company’s own service status page shows that TalkTalk is aware of the problem.

“We’re aware that some customers are currently unable to open Webmail,” TalkTalk said.

“The Appsuite website is currently not loading.”

It’s not yet clear what has caused the problem.

“@TalkTalk is the email system down. I cannot access,” one user wrote on X / Twitter.

However, it appears logging in is only a problem if you’re trying to access the online web mail site.

Using apps like Outlook or your phone should work as normal, the firm said.

“Using email via clients such as outlook on your PC or the mail app on your smartphone or tablet are working as normal,” TalkTalk explained.

“We’d like to apologise for the inconvenience caused and assure you the issue is being investigated as a priority.”
