Is Halfords open today?

Halfords stores, garages and mobile expert service are open in the third lockdown.

Opening times will vary across stores, but the majority will open at 8am and shut between 6pm and 8pm.

You can use Halfords’ store locator tool to see the latest opening times for your nearest branch.

It is important to check your local store to see exactly when it is open before you make a trip.

Halfords was also allowed to stay open during the previous lockdowns in 2020.

What are the new coronavirus shopping rules?

Although Halfords may be opening their doors, the way the public can shop will be very different.

In order to maintain social distancing, only a limited number of people will be allowed in the stores at once.

Customers are also being asked to follow two-metre social distancing rules to keep other shoppers and staff safe.

For services, Halfords are operating a contactless “Drive in, Fit and Repair” policy where you simply park up and request the service you need.

Other safety measures include e-receipts and not asking customers to sign documents.

Can I order from Halfords online?

Yes, you can still order items for home delivery or click and collect via the Halfords website.

Free next day home delivery is available on selected items on orders placed by 8pm Sunday to Friday.

Produces that are excluded from free home delivery include online exclusives, bikes and bulky items.

For bulky items, you can expect to pay £39.99 for delivery. For other orders, Halfords says delivery is calculated at the checkout.

Click and collect is free from Halfords at the moment.

But keep in mind that ministers are reported to be considering extending lockdown rules to stop all non-essential shops from offering the service, such as clothes and cafes.

Officials are said to be concerned with the long queues of customers waiting to collect goods and fast food.
