Cider is an online fashion retailer.

Products like dresses, jumpsuits and basics can be purchased on the site, as can activewear, swimwear and loungewear.

The company states that they “make everyday statement pieces for everyone, everywhere”.

Cider has a wide size range and makes clothes from XXS to 4XL, which works out to UK sizes 4-28.

They state that their products are sold at an “everyday price point” giving shoppers the chance to access styles and trends without having to break the bank.

Cider is available in more than 130 countries, and ships to France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, as well as the UK, Australia and New Zealand.

When was Cider created?

Cider was founded in 2020 by four friends.

The site launched in September 2020 with just ten members of staff.

One of the founders, Fenco Lin, began her career in Bloomingdale’s Executive Development Program and later worked at two fashion startups.

She is now the brand’s Chief Fashion Officer.

Another founder, Yu Oppel, used to work at Uber and was instrumental in helping UberEats become one of the largest food delivery services in the world.

Cider, which now has over 500 employees from 14 different countries, is based in LA in the US, though many of its products are made in China.

According to the company’s website, they chose to make Los Angeles their home as “the sunny, carefree atmosphere and diverse culture provide the perfect backdrop for our brand’s emphasis on good vibes and inclusivity”.

The founders have also said that they chose the name Cider because, like the drink the company is named after, Cider is “bubbly, sweet, and has just the right amount of sass”.

Cider has celebrated many milestones since its launch, including its debut swimwear collection in 2021 and the launch of the site’s first unisex collection in 2022.

On the Apple Store it receives a score of 4.8/5 stars and on  Google Play it has a score of 4.5/5.

According to Cider, the brand operates on a “smart fashion” model.

This means that the company only produces what they know their customers want.
