IPHONE owners have access to a valuable tool that can help them sleep more easily.
Studies have proven that white noise can help people both sleep better and longer.
White noise is defined as a mixture of sound waves extending over a wide frequency range.
And white noise apps and machines are finely tuned to provide that.
“They create a blanket of sound around you that absorbs other sound waves so that little creaks and cracks and cars driving by don’t quite make it to your brain, and you don’t respond to them,” Michael Grandner, director of the University of Arizona College of Medicine’s Sleep and Health Research Program, told CNN.
White noise machine sales have only grown over the years, but the cost of such devices can set shoppers back as much as $200.
However, if you have an iPhone, you have a white noise setting that’s completely free.
HOW TO ENABLE THIS SETTING
If you’re looking to play white noise on your iPhone, first head to your device’s Settings.
Next, tap on Accessibility and then find Audio/Visual and select it.
From there, look for Background Sounds and toggle it on.

OTHER TIPS
iPhone’s Night Mode is another handy tool that can help you sleep better.
This setting works by automatically adjusting your screen’s display from cooler hues to warmer ones.
And then, in the morning, the display returns to its normal settings.
You can turn this feature on in your Settings > Display & Brightness > Night Shift.
Users can also lower the white point on their iPhone to adjust the intensity of colors.
In the nighttime, bright lights can be just as bad for you as blue light because they wake our brains up.
You can fix this by heading to your iPhone’s Settings.
From there, go to Accessibility > Display & Text Size and toggle on Reduce White Point.
