Investec has boosted the rate on its 90-day notice savings account to 3.55 per cent, taking it to the top of the best-buy tables.
Notice accounts act as a halfway house between an easy-access account and a fixed-rate bond.
This is because you can make unlimited withdrawals, but only after a pre-specified notice period.
