THE last thing you need is your remote to stop working right before your favourite show starts.
But as with any tech, it can happen.

And as good as Sky’s TV remotes are, they also are not immune.
Thankfully, most issues are easily resolved yourself.
And there are special buttons you can press to hopefully reset things.
The most obvious test first is changing batteries – if your remote still isn’t responding after that, give the tips below a try.
If it’s a pairing issue, there’s a clever way to reconnect the remote to your Sky Glass or Sky Stream.
You just need to press and hold the 7 and 9 buttons at the same time for three seconds.
Then, do the same with the 1 and 3 buttons – remember, it has to be at the same time and for three seconds.
Now, wait to see if a connected message appears on your screen.

If it does, then you’re ready to go again.
If it doesn’t work, try the steps again another three times.
Once you’ve exhausted that option, the last thing to try is simply switching the main box off and on again.
If you’re still having no luck, there might be something wrong with your remote.
In which case, you’ll need to speak to Sky – and it may be time to arrange a replacement.
