A SIDE-HUSTLE expert has revealed how you can make easy cash in minutes from home – and all you need is your phone.

Dad Ryan has earned over £317 ($400) making “user-generated content” (UGC) for big brands.

All he does is take photos and videos of products, which will then appear on a brand’s page or in its adverts.

Ryan’s first UGC gig was a photo of his foot resting on a Christmas tree stand.

He told Insider: “Really, all I had to do was give them a photo of my foot on the ratchet and they paid me 15 bucks (£12).

“UGC was the easiest to get started with little time spent and a good amount of return.”

The dad, who was allowed to keep the £48 ($60) Christmas tree stand free of charge, also made £48 with a UGC video about a bike lock.

He added making UGC is the side hustle “with most payoff right now”, and that anyone who’s competent with a camera can make money from the comfort of their own home.

Ryan said: “If they’re OK with taking photos, somewhat decent with taking photos, and can speak on camera, like they’re not completely shy in that way, UGC seems to be a pretty low lift and it doesn’t take a lot of operating capital.”

The dad-of-two has become well-known on his TikTok channel for comparing and reviewing different side-hustles.

Ryan is also interested in “hauling junk” and claims this is another side hustle that can have good potential.

But the world of side hustles is not always as simple to get into as social media suggests.

According to Ryan, gigs such as voice work and uploading photos onto sites such as ClickaSnap, are not worth pursuing.

He said these methods can often become expensive if the platform charges membership fees – and you may need portfolios of work to secure jobs in these sectors.

Through sharing his insight and expertise on side hustles on his social media channels, Ryan has racked up over 100,000 followers.

He has also shared his experiences on popular hustles such as selling digital products on Etsy or starting up a YouTube channel.

Ryan defined side hustles as: “Something that you can do outside of working hours with flexibility.”
