SHOPPERS often rush to their local Home Bargains for discounted goods – but heading to one spot will see you land even better deals.
The retailer runs over 500 stores across the UK and customers can pick up everything from household goods to food, clothing and toys.
It’s already known for offering discounted prices on thousands of products – but you can make extra savings if you know where to go.
Shopping expert Tom Church, co-founder of the latestdeals.co.uk website, said you’ll find the best offers at the front of your local branch.
He said: “Unlike shops such as TK Maxx, Home Bargains doesn’t keep their reduced items at the back of the shop.
“Often the best deals will be by the door to lure you in.
“Make sure you scan all the shelves as soon as you enter so you don’t miss the best bargains by assuming discounted items are tucked away at the back of the shop.”
It’s not just about keeping your eyes peeled at the front of the store, make sure you turn your eyes downwards when you’re walking around as well.
Tom said often shops put their best value items on the shelf closest to the floor, and Home Bargains is no different.
He added: “That way you’re more likely to miss them and buy the more expensive option that’s at eye level.

“Supermarkets do this as well, so it’s always worth checking the bottom shelf to see what you can find.”
Tom said Home Bargains does this “particularly well” when it comes to food.
But by turning his gaze south, he’s found a number of bargain products previously, including a giant one kilo box of Beeto Sweets for just £4.
How else to save money at Home Bargains
Knowing where to pick up products is just one way to save money at Home Bargains – there’s a host of hacks you can use to cut costs.
First, you’ll want to shop around before buying any product, which means using price comparison sites such as www.pricespy.co.uk and www.latestdeals.co.uk.
The Google Shopping tab is another great way to see how a product compares price wise as well.
Second, you’ll want to go for the right products to ensure you’re getting the best deals.
Tom previously told The Sun Mrs Hinch products are a good place to start – they’re extremely popular and often reduced in price.
Party decorations are also worth picking up – you can get confetti and bride sashes for 99p and cake stands from £1.69.
Meanwhile, you can bag toys for less, if your Home Bargains branch is running a Star Buy event.
Third, you’ll want to shop at the right times, which according to one current worker is first thing in the morning.
This is because staff stack the shelves first thing or at night.
In other news, Home Bargains is making a major change across dozens of its stores – and shoppers will be buzzing.
Plus, shoppers are rushing to their nearest branch to bag a summer essential scanning for £6 instead of £15 – and it could even help you skip luggage fees.
The Sun approached Home Bargains for a comment.
