Ring has a solar panel attachment which is compatible with doorbells 2, 3 and 4.

It needs several hours of direct sunlight everyday to keep the battery in your video doorbell charged for longer.

It’s currently available on Amazon for £49, and includes a toolkit and cable to help set up “in just a few minutes”, according to the listing.

The second accessory is the humble Wall Mount, which attaches your doorbell onto your wall or door without any drilling or screws.

The weather-proof mount is perfect for rental properties.

It’s compatible for Ring’s 2nd generation doorbell only, and is currently available at Amazon for £17.99.

There is also an adjustable one available, which is worth mulling over.
