ICELAND shoppers are rushing to buy “nostalgic” sweets based on an iconic 90s brand.

The retailer is selling the highly regarded sugary treat in some of its stores across the UK.

And one lucky woman picked up multiple boxes of Swizzels Sweet Treats at half price.

The savvy shopper was thrilled with her buy and quickly took to social media to show off her loot.

Taking to the Facebook group, Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she revealed that she had nabbed the sweets for just £2.75 each.

Swizzels have been making sweets since 1928 and are best known as the inventors of Love Hearts, Drumstick, Fizzers and Refreshers bars.

Many people tagged their friends and partners in the comment section of the post to let them know about the reductions.

One said: “Get me loads of these for Christmas and I’d be happy”.

While another urged their friends that they “need to go” to Iceland as soon as possible.

An excited Facebook user wrote that the sweets would be “perfect for Halloween”.

And a fourth praised the deal as a “total bargain”.

Do bear in mind that when prices are reduced it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

It’s always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest Iceland store using the locator tool on the website.

It comes as a new Twirl bar also hit the shelves last month and was described as “insane” by one chocolate lover.

Meanwhile, other sweet treat lovers were left divided over the unique flavour of one chocolate bar.

And mums and dads are also rushing to B&M to pick up a 6ft bouncy castle for just £20.
