STAR Wars actress Daisy Ridley has WON a council battle to transform her derelict terraced house in North London.

The Force Awakens star, 30, applied to renovate a Grade II listed building in Camden Town after buying it two years ago.

She wanted to turn the £1.85million property from lots of tiny bedsits into a family home in a £1million transformation, Mail Online reports.

Local planning bosses initially clamped down on her bid for a roof extension with terrace the back, but have since given her the go ahead – as none of her neighbours objected.

The building is said to have a leaky roof, cracked walls, an overgrown garden and is deemed in “desperate need of restoration”.

According to the Mail, Daisy applied to Camden Council for a rear kitchen extension following the demolition of an existing ground floor extension and two outbuildings, including internal and external restoration.

But the Camden Town Conservation Area Committee warned repairing the property’s foundations could cause “distress” to neighbours’ homes.

They also said light from the kitchen would cause “considerable light pollution” in the back garden.

Another factor was whether the upgrade would be eco friendly enough, with appropriate insulation and “alternative energy sources” used.

Ridley’s planning agent said in a design statement: “This application will reinstate the dwelling house following a number of years of neglect and vacancy into a high-quality family home.

“The proposal seeks to sensitively refurbish and extend the property, which is currently in serious disrepair.”

Officials have since given the go-ahead for the kitchen extension after there were no objections from neighbours.

Other plans include a separate dining and living room, a powder room, a new first floor shower and wash room.

They also feature a new master bedroom and bathroom on the second floor.

Planning officer Obote Hope said: “The size, scale, design and location of the proposed alterations are not considered to cause harm to the special architectural and historic significance of the listed building or the character of the surrounding conservation area.”

As well as her appearance in the 2015 Star Wars blockbuster, Daisy was the voice of Cottontail in Peter Rabbit and starred in the 2017 remake of Murder on the Orient Express.

Her famous neighbour’s who live nearby include Bond actor Daniel Craig, singer Craig David, model Daisy Lowe and comedian Julian Clary.
