A WIDOWED grandmother has won a dream £4.5million waterfront home in Cornwall for just £25 – and revealed the first thing she did after being given the jaw-dropping news.
June Smith, 74, was shocked when she found out she had won the six bedroom, three storey home as part of the Omaze Million Pound prize draw.
Not only that – but she’s also bagged £100,000 cash to help her settle in.
June said: “I was just settling in for a standard Friday night in front of the tele – then the next thing I knew I’d won a mansion.
“The first thing I did was call my children, the second was to open a bottle of red!”
June, from Essex, splashed out just £25 for the mansion, and can either rent it, sell it, or live in it herself.
She sadly lost her husband of 43 years, Ron, last year when he suffered a heart attack aged 74.
But she said Ron would’ve absolutely loved the design of the house, calling it “a work of art”.
She added: “We used to come for family holidays in Cornwall and stay in a caravan, but now we own a £4.5m mansion – it’s just unbelievable.”
June said she will keep the house “for a while” but is not sure of her long term plan.

She said: “I’ve got six beautiful grandchildren and have now got plenty of room for all of them to come and stay – we’re going to have the best summer holiday ever.”
The prize draw also raised more than £2m for charity Marie Curie.
The Chief Executive of the charity, Matthew Reed, said: “The money raised could fund around 100 Marie Curie Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to support people with terminal illness.
“It would mean nearly 2,000 families receive expert care and emotional support when they need it most.”
The house is on the waterfront near the Cornish town of Fowey, and was designed by architects Harrison Sutton.
The house has a home office, main sitting room with floor to ceiling glass, a state of the art kitchen and breakfast room and a stylish dining room downstairs.
There is even a yoga studio at one end of the garden.
Omaze recently offered an amazing £3million Victorian house in London up to one lucky winner.
