A PENSIONER has won £20,000 and a brand new £43,000 Tesla ‘dream car’ in the lottery.

Tulsi Gohill, 69, from Thurmaston in Leicestershire, scooped the brand new motor and cash in the BOTB Dream Car competition.

He is celebrating his 70th birthday and 50th wedding anniversary this year and plans to visit a number of places with his winnings.

“I’ve never won anything in my life. It’s impossible!” Tulsi told LeicestershireLive.

“I’m 70 this year and we’re also celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary, so there are a few things I still need to tick off on the bucket list.

“One of those is a visit to Angkor Wat in Cambodia, just to see how far the Hindu religion spread out of India. It would be a dream come true to go there.”

BOTB presenter Christian Williams surprised Tulsi with the brand-new Tesla Model 3 worth £43,000 plus an extra £20,000 cash prize.

He said: “Winning a car is always a surprise but Tulsi was absolutely gobsmacked when he opened the door.

“Once the shock had worn off he was just so incredibly excited about what the car and the cash would enable him and his family to do. It was an absolute privilege to help his dreams come true.”

It comes after a UK ticket holder claimed a EuroMillions jackpot of £111.7million.
