A WOMAN was told she won the National Lottery jackpot and was ready to collect her £8million – but it all came crashing down in seconds.
Vlogger Chloe Hill, 32, from Yorkshire, took to TikTok to share the unfortunate misunderstanding with her followers.
Chloe showed a screenshot of an email she received from the National Lottery.
It said: “Good News. You have won a prize on the National Lottery.”
The Lotto results for the jackpot of £8,606,092 on May 11, 2022, were 21, 34, 37, 39, 44, 51 and the Bonus Ball was 26.
However, when she discovered the amount that she had actually won, she was sorely disappointed.
After accessing her National Lottery account, it soon became apparent Chloe had won a mere £3 on the Thunderball.
The caption for her video read: “Always tricked into thinking I’ve won by the emails. Anyone else?”
And people were quick to offer their sympathy and share their own similar stories on social media.
One said: “I know that feeling too well.”

Another commented: “So true. trying not to get excited when you get it but still hoping and then…”
A third quipped: “It paid for your Flash outfit, right?”
A final person wrote: “What will you do with your winnings? Retire?”
It comes after a couple who thought they won a £182million EuroMillions jackpot were devastated after they lost it all because of a technicality.
Rachel Kennedy, 19, and Liam McCrohan, 21, from Hertfordshire, had played the winning numbers for five weeks in a row before they eventually came up in a draw.
But the couple were heartbroken when they realised that Rachel’s ticket payment had not gone through because she did not have enough money in her account.
