MUMs are raving about a new 69p tea from Aldi which they say is giving them the best night’s sleep ever.
The Diplomat Sleep Tea is part of a new Aldi range with other options claiming to boost the immune system, help with digestion, and even give you a detox.

The tea is available online for just 69p for 20 bags, and shoppers can also get it in stores from the coffee and tea aisle.
Shoppers have said that it transformed their nights and that it tastes delicious too.
Posting in the Aldi UK shoppers group on Facebook Lindsay wrote: “Best nights sleep I’ve had in ages after this sleep tea.”
Catia even claimed it was better than tablets. She said: “I been taking the sleep one since 2 days ago and honestly it works better than sleeping pills.
“[It] also works on my anxiety levels so I drink a cup here and then during the day….and the taste is lovely too!!”
And Rria added: “I tried it last night and slept great. Could have been 4 nights of tossing and turning but I’m saying it was the tea.”

Everyone who’d tried the tea said it was delicious, but not everyone agreed on the sleep benefits.
Sue said: So I had this last night thinking it was going to be a miracle cure for my restless nights! Not sure if I was fighting against it trying to prove it wrong or what. But I had the worst night ever!
“Soooo tired this morning. But I will give it the benefit of doubt and stick with it! I will either be a walking zombie by next weekend or I will be full of beans! Time will tell! On a plus note it tastes lovely!”
And Nicole agreed: “I’ve had these 2 nights in a row now and had the worst nights sleep!!”
The tea is flavoured with chamomile which is often thought to have calming properties.
The full list of ingredients include: Flowering Tops (30%), Chamomile Flowers (20%), Liquorice Root (20%), Lavender Flowers, Lime Flower, Tulsi Leaf, and Valerian Root.
Aldi does warn that anyone suffering from hypertension should avoid the tea as it contains liquorice.
In terms of instructions, it advises users to pour freshly boiled water over the tea bag and allow it to stand for 3 minutes or until the desired strength is achieved.
But Charlotte warned that you need a couple of bags each night in order to get the benefits. She said: “I find you need 2 cups of this.. leave the bag in too. One cup is okay but the second cup…”
At 69p for 20 bags the Aldi sleep tea is by far the cheapest we could find in supermarkets online.
Asda’s cheapest option is from Twinings and costs £1.35, almost double the price of Aldi. At Morrisons, it costs £2 for 20 bags.
Tesco sells the same Twinings branded version which costs £2.70 for 20 bags, though you can get it for £2 if you have a clubcard.
