A WOMAN revealed how she set up her own business after taking a £12 Wowcher course and claims that anyone can do it.
Nikki Spencer works 14-hour days to manage her new successful brand, while working a full-time job in the NHS.
The 31-year-old created her aromatherapy business Love Autumn Rose in November last year after taking a £12 Wowcher course and watching YouTube tutorials during lockdown.
Nikki now makes her own line of products ranging from candles and essential oils, to salt lamps and planners.
The entrepreneur has already received two awards for her business venture, and claims that taking the leap in starting up her own brand was the right move.
The woman, from Sidcup, told MyLondon: “I never thought it was something that I could actually pluck up the courage to do because I was totally new to the business side of things and I kept thinking ‘what if I embarrass myself and it all goes wrong'”.
But she continued with the two month course after having a vested interest in aromatherapy and had always dreamt of running her own business.
Nikki did the entire Wowcher course while working as a secretary for the NHS, spending every free minute of her time learning everything she could.
The business woman then began facing the difficulties the cost of living crisis was bringing after getting a mortgage and seeing her bills increase.
She decided she needed another source of income on top of her full-time job which sparked her decision to start up Love Autumn Rose.
