Customers can choose from a selection of cheap and cheerful options, including a variety of pie flavours, chicken nuggets, breaded fishcakes, fish fingers, and curries.

There are plenty of vegetarian options in the range such as macaroni cheese, tomato pasta, chips with curry sauce, cheese and onion bakes, alongside vegetable balti bakes.

Hashbrowns, potato pops, crispy potato pieces and chicken bites could all be served up on the side of different dishes.

Meanwhile several ice-lolly flavours will be sure to keep the little ones happy.

These are just some of the choices available, with stacks more in the discount supermarket freezers.

Shoppers were overcome with joy when they spotted the bargain deals and rushed to stock up.

The helpful reminder was posted by a money saver in the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

Thousands of parents praised the items and called the range a “lifesaver” amid the cost of living crisis.

“Need to get ourselves to Iceland,” penned one eager fan.

“We’ve tries a few, they are delish, you’ll like the curry and chips as it’s spicy,” suggested one satisfied customer to their pal.

“Their pies are really nice. Their chicken and rice meals are cheap and fairly healthy. I plan to fill my fridge up,” wrote another.

Someone else tagged their mate and said: “Let’s do a freezer shop.”

“Went in there today and bought some bits,” commented one impressed shopper.

Meanwhile a fellow bargain hunter said: “Absolute steal. I spent £36 there last week and got two and a half bags full.”

“We need to stock up,” agreed another.

Customers can find the value range products on the dedicated page on the Iceland website when browsing online.

Availability of the £1 products is dependent on in-store and online stock.

It comes as Iceland fans were also thrilled to see a “banging” iced coffee back on the shelves.
