A YOUTUBE star has revealed how he makes £3,000 a month thanks to his nifty side hustle.

Influencer Paul Marles took to his social media page to tell his 228,000 followers just how the money rolls in.

In a lengthy post which has now been viewed more than a million times, he explained just how he made the money by creating journals using Canva to sell on Amazon.

The process was also explained in a TikTok video by a user known as @thevisionpreneur.

Just go to Canva.com and create a new design.

Then you can design your cover and interior files.

It is recommended you add at least 70 pages.

Then go to kdp.amazon.com and select which format you want them in.

Simply add all of your journal details and click submit.

In Paul’s YouTube footage, he claims that in June 2021 he made $4,333.47 in royalties from his journals and notebooks on Amazon.

He said that he spent $860.60 on advertising, giving him an income for that month alone of $3,463, equivalent to around £2,800.

Paul said “that wasn’t bad” seeing as he considered June a “quiet month,” adding that sales of these types of books normally increase through to the Christmas period.

Paul added that they not only make great gifts for friends and family but can also be designed to suit businesses which can also become a money spinner.

Many of Paul’s followers were quick to thank him for his easy to understand advice, with lots of commentators saying they had got started thanks to him.

One commentator said: “Hi Paul Marles…you are great!! Thank you for being the kind of teacher every beginner needs. I have published my first just as a little practice round…will be following you step by step for all my next plans. Thanks again.”

Another wrote: “Thanks so much Paul. I truly appreciate your user friendly, down to earth instructions.

“I’ve created my first journal at 72 years of age and it makes me feel wonderful that this old grand ma has accomplished this, five years after publishing my first book. God bless and prosper you sir.”

While a third added: “This was more helpful than probably any tutorial video I’ve ever seen.

“Definitely subscribing. Seeing the back end of KDP was also super helpful and makes me feel much less intimidated by the prospect of self-publishing now. Thanks!”
