I found a top-secret Amazon Alexa hack that fixes her biggest problem

USING Alexa of an evening can be tricky if you’re trying not to wake someone up.

A popular TikTok video has revealed how you can get around this issue by using your Amazon smart speaker’s ‘Whisper Mode’.

TikTok star Alana Tsui posted the video to the short clip platform.

She captioned it: “This is a game changer for talking to Alexa at night if you don’t want to wake your partner or kids up.”

The TikToker demonstrates the trick by stating in a normal voice: “Hey Alexa, what’s the time right now?”

Alexa then answers with the reply in a standard volume.

However, when the TikToker whispers the exact same question Alexa’s response is noticeably different.

Alexa responds to the whispered question in a whispered voice.

This is because Whisper Mode has been activated.

It’s a feature you need to turn on manually via the Alexa app but that’s very easy to do.

How to enable Alexa’s Whisper Mode on Amazon Echo

First, you’ll need access the Alexa app:

• Launch the app
• Go to Settings
• Then go to Alexa Account
• Next, click Alexa Voice Responses
• Then activate Whispered Responses

Fans of Whisper Mode praised the feature in the TikTok video comments.

One said: “I love whisper mode.”

Another added: “That’s a good feature for when someone breaks in your house and you don’t want them to know Alexa called the police!”
