How to make a group video call on WhatsApp?
Creating a group call on WhatsApp is simple and is only a few additional clicks than usual.
Here is a three step guide on how to do it:
- Open WhatsApp, then tap the CALLS tab
- Tap New Call then New Group Call
- Find the contacts you want to add to the call, then tap Voice Call
In 2021, WhatsApp added the joinable calls feature.
“We are making it easier to connect spontaneously with your groups,” a WhatsApp spokesperson told The Sun.
“Join ongoing calls with your groups anytime, effortlessly and directly from the chat view with one click.”
To make a group call from an individual chat:
- Open individual chat with one of your contacts
- Tap Voice Call
- Once in the call, tap Open (upwards arrow button) and then Add Participant
- Find another contact and then tap ADD
- Tap Add Participant if you want more people to join
How many members can you have on a group video call?
If your WhatsApp is running on the latest version and is fully updated, you can add more than 30 people to a call.
Group calling allows up to 32 participants in total to join.
