PLANNING an Easter egg hunt?
You can have a cracking time without breaking the bank.
This fun family event is more about enthusiasm than expense.
Get relatives and friends hooked on the magic and you’ll hardly need to spend a thing.
One of the joys of Easter is that you have a whole weekend to ramp up the fun.
Use Good Friday and Easter Saturday to do simple crafts with the kids that will take your happy hunting to the next level.
You can decorate some paper bags with egg-shaped cardboard cut-outs or coloured-in cute rabbits for collecting the all-important treats.
If you’re in a hurry, you can buy a pack of 12 Easter treat bags from Hobbycraft, £2. The Works has a Peppa Pig Easter hunt wooden marker, £1, which will be a hit with your little bunnies.
You can also make your own markers, which can be used to post cute messages and mark where the eggs are hidden.
Cut carrot, egg and bunny shapes out of card, colour in then decorate and attach to lolly sticks.

Some people use egg-shaped tokens that can be exchanged for one big treat at the end of the hunt, while others hide smaller eggs for youngsters to find.
For eggs, you can use Lidl’s Favorina egg hunt kit, £3.29 or two for £5, or its 400g bag of mini hollow chocolate eggs, both £2.99.
The only limit to the fun is your imagination, so hop to it.
