But for Pancake Day, which this year falls on March 1, you can get the McDonald’s dish for a discount price of just 99p.

If you feel like starting Shrove Tuesday off with the fluffy treats you can find the deal via the McDonald’s app.

You can download the My McDonald’s app for free on iPhone’s or Android and it will be in the offers section.

You can get the discount when ordering via the app for delivery – it won’t be available in McDonald’s branches.

Don’t forget that when you ordering home delivery you’ll have to pay the delivery fee too. There should be no minimum order amount though.

You can choose either pancakes an syrup or pancakes sausage and syrup.

Pancakes and syrup will usually set you back £2.59, or £2.99 with sausage, though prices can vary depending on location.

That means you can save between £1.60 and £2 depending on which one you go for.

This doesn’t come with a drink or hash brown so if you want either you’ll have to pay for those on top.

You will get three pancakes and if you choose with sausage, you’ll get a patty too.

Last year McDonald’s offered a similar deal but it didn’t apply to the pancakes with sausage.

Of course the as pancakes are part of the breakfast menu you’ll have to act fast.

The morning food menu runs until 11am when breakfast is replaced with Big Macs, McNuggets and the rest of the main menu.

What time you can get the pancakes and other breakfast menu items depends on your local branch and when it opens.

You can also use the McDonald’s restaurant locator tool to find your nearest branch.

If you can’t wait for that the fast food chain is also offering two neaw deals on Monday (February 28) too.

You can get a double bacon or sausage McMuffin for £1.79 instead of the usual £4.49 – a saving of around £2.70 depending on prices near you.

The same rules apply, so it’s via the app and you’ll have to pay delivery fees on top, plus you won’t get a drink or side included.

They also apply to a main menu deal on the same day offering a BBQ and bacon chicken one big flavour wrap for £1.49 instead of £2.99 – half off.

You can get all the deals at McDonald’s 1,300 branches, apart from the following locations:
