A few ways to keep warm this winter

There are a few things you can do this winter to keep yourself warm without putting the heating on.

Consider using a hot water bottle, they are always great for a cost-free way of keeping warm.

If you’ve got a few pennies to spare consider getting an electric blanket which is particularly useful in the night.

Don’t forget preventative measures like draught excludes, they stop cold air coming in from underneath draughty doors

You can get some for as little as a fiver in most stores but a thick blanket rolled up will work just as well.

Loft insulation is also very important as it can stop heat escaping, therefore slashing your heating bill.

You can buy insulation from all local builder merchants or retailers such as B&Q and Wickes.

In other news, shoppers are rushing to buy a £1 gadget to avoid putting the heating on and it costs nothing to run.
