To celebrate the latest freedoms from lockdown rules easing, 100,000 Aperol Spritz’s are being given away and you can get it at any place they serve the popular summer drink.

To get the freebie, you’ll need to register first on its website here, sharing your name, email and date of birth (you must be over 18 years of age) and do it before May 17.

You’ll then receive an email with a link to a redemption form which you have until 31 August to use, so there’s no need to head out if you’re not ready yet.

To redeem the offer, you’ll need to buy your Aperol Spritz first and one for a friend too, then provide your receipt showing the purchase of both drinks to get a refund for one of them.

You’ll need to buy two drinks to use this offer, so it’s essentially a buy one, get one free deal.

But your refund will be £8 regardless of how much you paid – the average price of an Aperol Spritz is £6.94.

How to get your free Aperol Spritz

  • Register here by May 17 and receive a confirmation email
  • Reconnect with a loved one when they feel comfortable (until 31 August) and purchase two Aperol Spritz at any bar, pub, restaurant or hotel in England, Wales or Northern Ireland
  • Redeem by following the link in the confirmation email, and then uploading a photo of your itemised receipt showing two Aperol Spritz
  • Receive a refund of £8 via bank transfer or PayPal

How much you pay will vary depending on your location of course, and your chosen drinking establishment.

The last stage of the deal is that you’ll get an email after you’ve redeemed the offer and shared a photo of your receipt, and this will tell you if it’s valid.

This will be within three working days, and the £8 will be refunded by bank transfer or PayPal (you’ll have to share this information too when redeeming the offer).

You need to spend at least £10 on the receipt and you can’t use the freebie if you are getting other discounts or using other offers at the bar.

If you use the same email address or payment information more than once, your redemption will be rejected – it’s only one per person.

Also, make sure it’s an itemised receipt with both drinks clearly on there.

Unfortunately, you wont be able to take advantage of this offer in Scotland because of alcohol laws, but in everywhere else, you can use the offer at any place that serves Aperol Spritz.

Although you have until May 17 to register, don’t forget there are only 100,000 up for grabs so you’ll want to sign up before they run out.

Loris Contro, Aperol’s brand ambassador in the UK, said: “Life, like a Spritz, is best served shared.

“That’s why, after so long apart, we wanted to play our part in bringing people together again, as hospitality venues re-open across the country – with an Aperol Spritz on us.

“We don’t want people to visit bars before they’re comfortable doing so, which is why they can redeem their drink when they’re ready over the summer until 31 August.”

Beefeater, McDonald’s and Zizzi are offering deals, discounts and even FREE food to welcome customers back after lockdown.

Costa is offering 50p drinks this week and there has been such huge demand that the coffee shop’s website crashed.
