A TIKTOKER has shared the simple process of how you can purchase land in the metaverse.
A TikTok creator by the handle of @Plai.io posted a 37-second video on the platform that explains how to buy land in Decentraland.
Plai began the video by displaying his avatar in Decentraland, a 3D virtual world browser-based platform, described by the TikToker as “the first metaverse”.
Decentraland, like other metaverses, allows users to buy virtual plots of land in the platform as NFTs using the MANA cryptocurrency (which is on the Ethereum blockchain).
Plai showed off his virtual plot of land in the Decentraland metaverse, adding that he used it to build a virtual art gallery to show off his NFTs.
He also noted that the plot of land itself is an NFT (or a non-fungible token) and that it could be rented out or used to host virtual meet-ups.
The TikTok creator then detailed the process of how to purchase the virtual plots of land.
First, you have to go to CoinMarketCap to buy some MANA currency.

Once you’ve purchased your MANA, you have to go to the Decentraland Marketplace and select parcels and estates – Plai noted that there are only 90,000 parcels available.
The TikToker added that purchasers will want to puy a plot of land near parcels (the big green squares), before sharing his coordinates with his viewers.
The post has garnered more than 80,000 likes and thousands of comments since going live a few months ago.
“Yooo, this is actually pretty cool,” one user commented.
