How do you add photos to a TikTok video?
Adding photos to TikTok might seem like a hard task, but it can actually be done in less than 10 steps.
The steps include:
- Open TikTok
- Click the plus (+) button at the bottom of the screen
- Click ‘Upload’ in the bottom right corner
- Select the image you want to use and click ‘Next’
- Change the song by clicking the sound option
- Resize the image to desired size
- Post as normal
Did TikTok update its guidelines?
2022 has been a big year for the social media app, between new features and updated timing.
The app also updated its community guidelines.
The update occurred on March 7, 2022, and featured an array of new safety options.

Head of TikTok’s trust and safety, Cormac Keenan, stated the new guidelines will “strengthen our dangerous acts and challenges policy, broaden our approach to eating disorders, add clarity on the types of hateful ideologies prohibited on our platform, and expand our policy to protect the security, integrity, availability, and reliability of our platform.”
Previously, TikTok was deemed inappropriate, with many users demanding change.

Who owns TikTok?
TikTok first launched in 2016 and is now a dominate force in the social media game.
The app allows users to post short-formed videos that include pranks, stunts, tricks, jokes, dance, and entertainment.
With almost one billion users worldwide, the app is owned by Beijing-based technology company ByteDance, which was founded by Chinese billionaire entrepreneur, Zhang Yiming.
In 2019, Yiming was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2019, who described him as “the top entrepreneur in the world.”
After graduating from Nankai University with a BA in Software Engineering in 2005, he went on to work for several different companies, including Microsoft, before founding ByteDance in 2012.
Despite the success of his company, Yiming decided to step down as acting CEO in May 2021.
As of May 2022, he is estimated to have a net worth of $49.6billion, according to Forbes.
