The unloved Victorian five-bed pad is being advertised as in need of work but the estate agents insist it has “bags of potential“.

It boasts paint that peels off the front of the property, an overgrown garden and seriously outdated décor – but that didn’t deter an asking price which left jaws hitting the floor.
The the mid-terrace in Folkestone, Kent, has four reception rooms – one of which is covered in harsh pink paint and a shoddy Artex ceiling.
Two bathrooms and a shower room will give the new owners plenty of wash options.

It means this Victorian terrace is the most expensive home in Britain – almost double the price of the second which hit the market at £250 million.
Potential buyers were quick to poke fun at the property who fell victim to a very obvious price listing error.
One home buyer – called Niall – joked: “Cost of housing these days, madness.

It is not clear how much the property was meant to be listed for as the listing has since been taken down.
Listed on Rightmove and being flogged by Purplebricks the half a billion pound property is an “opportunity to turn into apartments”.
It is also “ideal for those looking for a project.”
