A BLOODY Christmas slasher game has been deemed too gory for Nintendo Switch and Xbox.

So much so, it appears to have been banned on both consoles and will only be found on PlayStation, according to developers.

Christmas Massacre has caught the attention of gamers on social media for its gruesome, murderous take on the festive season.

It’s described as an “80s inspired gore-drenched stealth slasher” with basic PS1-style horror game graphics.

A disturbing trailer shows a man called Larry dressed as Santa who is instructed by his Christmas tree to go on a killing spree.

The game is set for release on November 17 on PS4 and PS5.

Creators Puppet Combo have previously released similarly-gory games on all of the big three consoles.

Among them are Nun Massacre, Stay Out Of The House and Bloodwash.

But apparently Christmas Massacre is “too much” for Nintendo and Xbox owner Microsoft.

“I just found out last week,” Puppet Combo wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

“I blew lots of money on a Switch port we can’t released.

“Only PlayStation will allow it.”

The move raises questions about the criteria for allowing such a game given that there are many other violent titles available already.

When asked by a fan why they didn’t censor the game so it would make the cut, Puppet Combo said “they won’t let us”.
