HOMEBASE has slashed the price of its egg chair by £130 making it cheaper than ones available from other shops like Argos and Robert Dyas.

The DIY store’s garden furniture item is usually priced at £350 according to Google Shopping, but has been reduced to £220.

Anyone who didn’t manage to nab an egg chair from Aldi or Home Bargains before they sold out can still get their hands on one at a low price.

The Homebase egg chair is among the cheapest we’ve found on sale with these discount buys sold out right now.

The price £220 price tag making it cheaper than several others you can buy.

A similar Rattan egg chair from B&Q will set you back £411 and Argos is selling an egg chair that hangs from a frame for £250.

How to compare prices to get the best deal

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Here are some that we recommend:

  • Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
  • Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
  • Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
  • CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Robert Dyas has a hanging egg chair too but it’s priced at £299.99 and John Lewis sells a hanging “pod” chair for £399.

Home Bargains was selling a hanging egg chair for cheaper than Homebase’s one at £129.99 – but it’s sold out online.

That was also £20 cheaper than the original Aldi hanging egg chair which always sells out because it’s so popular.

Aldi shoppers were also left disappointed when a new version of the egg chair which can seat two people also sold out in the blink of an eye.

The Homebase egg chair is white and made of rattan material with a soft cushion to sit on too.

The chair is supported by steel legs and measures just over a meter and a half tall, one meter wide and supports weight up to 110kg

You can get the garden chair delivered to your home if you order online – it’s free for standard delivery or £6 if you want it the next day or want to choose the date.

You can also get this delivered to a store instead of your house if it’s more convenient, and that will set you back £6.

Or you can do click and collect if it’s already in stock in your nearest branch for free.

You can check if it’s in stock in store first, and you can find your nearest Homebase using its store locator tool.

If you’re buying online you’ll be limited to a maximum if five of the chairs.

We’ve asked Homebase how long the chairs will be discounted for and when they went on sale and will update when we hear back.

Lidl is selling a bargain bouncy castle that will keep the kids entertained for hours and it’s just £35.

Aldi is selling a 10ft paddling pool for just £30 that will also keep the family happy in hot weather (when it returns).

Over at Tesco the supermarket is selling a massive set of Yankee Candles for just £20.
