HOMEBASE has slashed the price of garden furniture favourites including hot tubs and rattan sofas, but you need a ‘secret’ discount to claim.

The not-so ‘hidden’ reduction is only sticking around for a few more days though, so shoppers will have to be quick if they want to score a bargain.

Homebase has introduced 20% off garden and outdoors bits online.

But the DIY giant has urged shoppers to pick up the pace, as there’s just three days left to claim.

Everything that’s eligible for the massive saving, from hanging egg chairs to fire pits and more, will shoot back up to full price on June 12.

Luckily it’s easy enough to get your hands on, as the reduction applies automatically at the checkout.

It means it’s only eligible for online orders though, so you won’t be able to score the same sneaky reduction in-store.

Last year retailers sold out time and again of the top billed garden products.

And now that summer is finally here, it means Brits are starting to venture again into their outside spaces – but the furniture might need a spruce up before any guests can start coming over.

Thanks to Homebase’s short-lived sale, shoppers can bag something like its cheapest hot tub at just a fraction of the price.

A four person CleverSpa Cotswolds hot tub would usually set Homebase shoppers back £390.

With the 20% off though, they only need to fork out £312.

That’s a total saving of £78 thanks to the little-known mark-down.

The store’s Alexandria rattan garden corner sofa set is on sale too.

The garden furniture piece is usually £345 to buy, but the hidden discount means £69 off.

That makes it just a £276 purchase this weekend.

But because you can only score the cheaper price online, it means you’re going to have to factor in at least an extra £6 to £12.50 for delivery on top of your spends.

Exactly how much you cough up depends on the size of the item you’ve got your eye on.

But you can collect for free from your closest branch if you want to avoid the additional costs.

As the products on offer have been so popular in the past, it means they could sell out quickly though – especially now they’re reduced.

So you should get in fast if you don’t want to miss out; keep in mind that stock will be subject to availability.

But you shouldn’t splash out just because the products are on offer, or you might go over budget.

You should also have a shop around before rushing to make a purchase – you’ve got three days, after all, to have a look around for better or cheaper offers.

Use price comparison tools like Google Shopping to find similar products from other retailers and compare prices.

Home Bargains, for example has its own rattan corner sofa that looks strikingly similar to Homebase’s sale item.

The budget store’s dupe is only £249.99 to buy though, making it £26.01 cheaper than the DIY stores, even with the hidden discount.

Meanwhile, rival hardware store B&Q has a cheaper inflatable hot tub to put Homebase’s discounted version to shame.

Shoppers could only pay £199 for the slightly smaller three person option – but they could also save £113 at the same time.

The DIY giant has been no stranger to a bargain in the past either – another hot tub it was selling had a massive 50% slashed off the price last month.

There’s a little-known way to get a slightly smaller 10% off any of your purchases too.
