HOMEBASE is selling an outdoor two seater rope-effect sofa for only £40.
The Acapulco garden bench is part of Homebase’s massive sitewide clearance, and it was originally £85 meaning shoppers can save £45.

The sofa will comfortably seat two people but its compact size means it’s also perfect if you don’t have as much room in your garden or on your balcony.
It’s made of strong and durable materials with a powder coated steel frame and it’s also easy to clean with soapy water and a clean cloth.
There’s no assembly required as the bench seat comes in just one piece, plus it’s stackable if you have more than one or any other parts in the range, making it easy for storage.
Most retailers are selling garden sofas in this style as part of a more expensive set, so it’s perfect if you don’t have the budget or the space for a whole hoard of chairs and accessories to go with.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
Unfortunately the outdoor seat is currently out of stock for delivery so you’ll have to head in-store to pick up the bargain buy.
Keep in mind that the low clearance price means stock will be very limited too, and products will be subject to availability in-store.
You can use Homebase’s store locator to find your nearest one or use the store’s stock checker tool to find if the sofa is available near you before you head out.
When The Sun checked there were three in stock in Homebase Basingstoke, but it was out of stock in Homebase Harrogate.
You might want to shop around first as there could even be a better deal out there.
Aldi has it’s own rope effect sofa, but it’s £160 making it £120 more expensive than Homebase’s.
The snug sofa has a deeper seat too which you might find more comfortable for lounging around in the sun.
The steeper price and its size might not fit into your small space though as it measures around 140cm in width, and the biggest drawback is that the popular Specialbuy item is currently out of stock.
Asda is selling an almost identical looking sofa but it’s more than four times the price of Homebase’s.
Asda’s white Camden outdoor sofa is £169 but the steeper price tag is because it also includes a matching glass-top table too.
You can order this one online too which you might find more convenient, but delivery will cost you another £14.95 on top.
Other retailers have been slashing the price of garden furniture too as Home Essentials cuts the price of its six seater outdoor dining set in half.
