When is Homebase open over the August Bank Holiday?

Homebase is usually open from around 9am to 8pm for all your construction, gardening and decorating needs.

And on Sunday the DIY store is open from 10am to 4pm in most places and some stores are open from 11am to 5pm.

But on bank holiday Monday, the store is altering its opening hours slightly, so some stores are opening an hour earlier at 8am and closing an hour earlier too at 7pm.

So shoppers won’t lose any time spent in the store, but you’ll want to be aware of the changes, especially if you like to shop early in the morning or later in the evening.

You can check the hours of your local Homebase with the store finder to make sure you avoid disappointment if yours is closed on the day.

Is Homebase doing delivery over the Bank Holiday?

Delivery is free for most items but if you’re after something small like paint pots it could take up to seven days to reach you, so you won’t have your items in time for the bank holiday anyway.

You can get next and named day delivery from £6 though, but it depends on what you buy as to whether this service is offered.

If you can’t stand the wait though, products that are in stock within a store can be purchased with click and collect, and your items can be ready for you to collect within one hour.

So you could head down to your local store and pick up an order same day during the hours its open on the bank holiday – the service is free too.

When are the Bank Holiday dates for 2021?

Dates in Scotland and Northern Ireland vary.

It comes as Homebase reduces hardware and furniture for the bank holiday.
