The lantern was originally priced at £19.99, with a bigger version also on sale at the higher price of £29.99.

Home Bargains describes the lantern as a “great piece of decor that will fit in most style rooms”.

The lantern isn’t available to buy online anymore, so you’ll need to check your local store if you wanted to buy one.

It’s always best to phone ahead to your local shop to check what they have available to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest Home Bargains store using the locator tool on the website.

When prices are reduced by this much it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you’re ordering online.

It always pays to compare prices so you know you’re getting the best deal.

You can compare prices on platforms like Google Shopping.

The 99p cost at Home Bargains is unsurprisingly the lowest price we found for a similar item but it’s worth having a look yourself – there’s never a bad time to bag a bargain.

We found a similar lanterns on the John Lewis website for £42, and another at Next for £24.
