HOME Bargains shoppers are going wild for a perfume dupe that costs £44 less than the iconic original.

Fragrance fans have been picking up the £2 perfume that they say smells “exactly” the same as Jean Paul Gaultier.

One savvy shopper who picked up the bargain scent shared a post to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group.

Alongside a picture of the bottle, she said: “£1.99 from Home Bargains and smells exactly like Jean Paul Gaultier.”

Other shoppers were quick to comment on the post and give their thoughts on the designer dupe.

One person said: “They are all really good. My sons love them”.

The bottle looks smaller than the original but is quite similar in shape.

We had a look to see how much it would cost for the original version of John Paul Gaultier.

The Perfume shop currently has a 40ml bottle of the original fragrance on offer at £43 down from £46.

Prices do vary depending on where you purchase it from and it is always best to shop around to make sure you are getting the cheapest deal.

You can use sites such as Google Shopping to compare the prices across different retailers.

Remember that some perfume dupes are not as strong as the original versions, and some shoppers also mentioned this in the Facebook comments.

One person said: “Doesn’t last very long but is great as a room spray”.

And someone else commented: “They smell similar but only for 10 mins”.
