Sweet-toothed shoppers have spotted Milky Way Crispy Rolls on the shelves in Home Bargains and cannot fill their baskets fast enough.

Rumours were swirling on social media last year that the popular chocolate bar had been discontinued.

A spokesperson for Marks Wrigley UK told the Sun in April 2022: “While Milky Way Crispy Rolls are currently in a galaxy far, far away we’re pleased to offer many delicious alternatives such as Milky Way Magic Stars, Maltesers, Mars, and of course, the traditional Milky Way.

“The love for Milky Way Crispy Rolls has been out of this world and we’ve certainly taken note!”

It seems possible that the confectionary giant could have taken comments from disappointed fans on board.

The Sun has reached out to Marks Wrigley UK to find out if that is the case and we will update here when we know more.

Fans of the sweet treat have been taking to Facebook to share their “sweet spot” with other chocoholics.

Posting in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group alongside a picture of the chocolate bars, one person said: “For those who have missed these little delights.

“Back in Home Bargains now 79p each.”

The post gained a staggering 5.5k likes and 7.8k comments as people started tagging their friends and making plans to “run” down to their local store to stock up.

One person said: “OMG I was thinking about these the other day.”

And another added: “I’m going to buy entire crates.”

While a third person commented: “We need these in our lives.”

It is unclear which store the crispy rolls were spotted in and it is worth bearing in mind that just because something is spotted in one doesn’t necessarily mean it will be in all.

We had a look on the website and although other chocolate items are listed online, the Milky Way Crispy Rolls are not.

You can find your nearest store by using the locator tool on the website.

It is worth calling ahead to check stock with the store before making a special trip so you are not disappointed.

The chocolate bar does not appear to be listed on any of the major supermarket websites or in any other high street retailers.

You can purchase a box of 24 bars for £24.99 on CandyMail.co.uk and the product is also listed on eBay where you can purchase a box of 12 for £12.49.

Just last month Mars confirmed it had discontinued another iconic chocolate bar from its range.

Fans including Piers Morgan took to social media outraged at the news.

A spokesperson at the time said: “It’s true, we have temporarily had to delist Bounty Dark for operational reasons and we’re working hard to bring the product back when we can.

“However, in the meantime, Bounty fans can rest assured that their favourite coconut treat – our classic Bounty is here to stay.”

In November last year, Mars caused a stir when it removed Bounty bars from some of its boxes of celebrations.

Instead additional Galaxy, Mars, Milkyway, Snickers and Teasers bars were added to 2,000 Bounty-less tubs.

The move was part of a trial to see if shoppers would be happy getting rid of Bounty’s permanently.

Cadbury has also been shaking things up with some new additions and discontinued items.
