HOME Bargains is selling weighted blankets for kids at just £15 each – over half the price of ones sold at rivals including John Lewis.
The bargain retailer is selling the blankets, which have stars printed on them, in three different colours which are blue, pink and grey.

The blankets measure 100cm by 150cm, and are designed to help soothe little ones who have anxiety, stress, insomnia, restless legs and sensory conditions to sleep.
They cost £14.99 each, and they’re much cheaper than similar ones we’ve spotted at other shops.
John Lewis is selling almost the same blanket, which also has a star design printed on it, for £45 – just over £30 (67%) more than Home Bargains’ one.
Meanwhile, this similar looking weighted blanket on Amazon is £35 – just over £20 (57%) more expensive.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
The bargain blankets from Home Bargains were spotted by an eagle-eyed deal hunter on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
Thousands of people liked and commented on the find, with hundreds saying they would be buying one for themselves.
However, be aware that the blanket is not suitable for children aged under 36 months.
We couldn’t spot the same or similar blanket going for less than the one spotted at Home Bargains.
But before you splash out, make sure you check prices online – you could find the same or similar item going for less at another shop.
Home Bargains isn’t the only retailer flogging mega deals on bits for kids.
B&M has launched a huge sale on toys, and you can get two for £16 on a range of items from Peppa Pig to Lego.
Mums have also been showing off their baby and kids’ clothing hauls from George at Asda, which has slashed prices on items by up to 50%.
