Conagra Brands Inc. saw its profit fall 22% in the most recent quarter as it grappled with higher-than-expected costs, but it said demand remained strong despite the company’s raising prices.

The Chicago-based food manufacturer, which makes Slim Jim meat sticks, Pam cooking spray and Hunt’s ketchup, said Thursday it is taking additional “pricing actions” in an effort to stay ahead of surging costs.
