THERE’S a shop you’ve likely never heard of where you can pick up branded goods for half the price of high street stores like Boots.

Bodycare is a discount retailer with around 130 stores across the UK and sells everything from toilet paper and shampoos to high-end cosmetics.

Shoppers can nab top brand items for massively discounted prices compared to well-known chains such as Boots and Superdrug.

For example, Rimmel London’s 30ml bottle of Match Perfection Foundation sells for just £6.99 at Bodycare, while Superdrug sells the same bottle for £9.99.

This means you would save £3 by buying the same item at Bodycare.

Rimmel’s 8ml Black Extra Super Lash Mascara 101 sells for £3.99 at Bodycare compared to £4.99 at Superdrug.

Meanwhile, its Stay Matte powder costs £3.49 at Bodycare compared to £4.99 at Boots and Superdrug.

You can even get high-end brands at a huge discount.

For example, Elizabeth Arden’s Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup foundation costs £20.99 at Bodycare, while Boots sells the same item for £30, meaning you would save £9 by buying it from Bodycare instead.

And a 30ml bottle of Lancome’s La Vie Est Belle Eau de Parfum perfume costs just £49.99 at Bodycare, while at Boots it usually costs £65.

Toiletries also tend to be cheaper, with a 700ml bottle of Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water for sensitive skin selling for £5.99 at Bodycare compared to £9 at Boots.

You can bag a travel-sized 100ml bottle for £1.49 at Bodycare compared to £3 at Boots – more than half the price.

Bodycare sells a 75ml tin of Nivea’s Creme moisturiser for £1.99 while the same tin sells for £2.49 at Superdrug.

Meanwhile, a 75ml can of Insette hairspray sells at Bodycare for just 75p, while the cheapest own-brand hairspray on offer at Boots costs £1.50 and Superdrug’s cheapest own-brand hairspray is £1.49.

The bargain store also sells a huge range of lesser-known brands for far cheaper than rivals’ own-branded items.

Bodycare sells Technic lipgloss starting at 59p and lipstick starting at 89p.

Boots’ cheapest lipstick sells for £2 while Superdrug’s cheapest range starts at £1.99.

Shoppers who can’t get to a store can also buy from Bodycare online, with free delivery on orders over £30. Orders worth less than this carry a £3.75 delivery fee.

You can find your nearest Bodycare by using its store locator tool online.

Most high street stores run regular offers, so you may find a bigger discount at shops like Boots by nabbing an item when it’s reduced.

Are there similar stores out there?

If there isn’t a Bodycare near you, there are other similar retailers offering cheap toiletries and essentials.

Discount store Savers sells discounted branded and own-brand items and has around 400 stores across the UK.

While it is not as cheap as Bodycare for some items, it is still far cheaper than other high street chains.

For example, Savers sells a 75ml bottle of Insette hairspray for 89p – 14p more than at Bodycare, but still far cheaper than similar items at major high street stores.

You can also pick up discounted toiletries at bargain shops such as Home Bargains and B&M Bargains, which have stores all over the UK.
