NEW Look is making a major change to prices and shoppers won’t be happy.
The clothing brand has announced that it will now charge customers to return items.
Shoppers wishing to return items via post will now be charged £1.99.
A New Look spokesperson, said: “New Look has taken the decision to trial a £1.99 fee for postal returns.
“This is in line with the wider industry and reflects increased costs related to delivery and collection.
But customers are still able to return their items for free in-store.
Shoppers have 28 days to return any item, including those on sale, from the day they receive your order.
Refunds are then processed to the original payment method within 15 days.
New Look has joined a handful of other retailers that have recently introduced return postage fees.
Boohoo introduced a £1.99 charge for returns after previously offering them for free last July.

Boohoo’s new policy applies to shoppers using gift cards, store credit or vouchers as well.
Customers receive a refund within 14 days of the retailer receiving the returned items, or, within 14 days of the consumer providing it with proof of return via one of its carriers if the items are not returned.
Zara also started charging customers to return products bought online in May last year.
Shoppers are charged £1.95 to send back items, with the fee deducted from their refund.
Again, customers can still return items purchased online to a Zara store free of charge, as long as they have the matching e-receipt and it’s within 30 days from the date of shipment.
It’s not the first time New Look has made the headlines in recent weeks.
On Tuesday, the retailer confirmed that it would close selected stores this winter.
The Fort Shopping Park store in Birmingham closed forever on January 9 and on January 23 New Look in Towbridge shut it doors to customers for the final time.
New Look’s Grosvenor Centre store in Northampton will shut up shop on February 15.
However, in November 2022 New Look opened several shops across the UK.
And it also has plans to open more stores later on in the year – though it hasn’t said how many and where in the UK they’ll be.
