It will begin on Wednesday, October 9 and end on Sunday, October 20 across the chain’s 814 branches.

As part of the festival, Wetherspoons puts on a selection of real ales from a variety of brewers for punters to try at low prices.

The exact beers and the prices at this year’s event are yet to be confirmed, but last year, pints were available for just £2.

At the last festival, fans had the opportunity to sample beers from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Taiwan and the USA.

It’s important to bear in mind though that prices do vary from pub to pub.

It’s a good idea to double check the price of a pint before you order so you aren’t caught out if it’s a little more than you expected.

Wetherspoons runs two real ale festivals every year – one in the spring and another in autumn.

Fans have taken to social media to share their excitement at the festival’s return.

You can find your local Wetherspoons on the pub chain’s website.

All the ales are usually available to order at the bar, or via the Wetherspoons app.

Beer connoisseurs can see tasting notes on all the beers as part of the festival programme, which will be free to pick up from pubs.

A digital version is also made available on the free Wetherspoons app and on its website.

Ways to save at Wetherspoons

Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.

It usually takes place in September, and last year it fell on Thursday, September 14.

As well as its Spring festival, Wetherspoons also holds a 12-day Real Ale Festival every Autumn.

Wetherspoons is known for its meal deal offers that run all week long.

These include Tuesday’s Steak Club, the Thursday Curry Club and Fish Friday.

For example, a standard curry club meal with an alcoholic drink is between £8.55 and £9.19.

Outside of the deal, you would expect to pay around a fiver more for the same meal.

You can enjoy bottomless brews all day in participating Wetherspoons pubs by buying one hot drink.

The offer includes Tetley tea and a range of Lavazza coffee including a flat white, latte, cappuccino, and Americano.

Prices start from just 99p but they can vary depending on your location.

How to save on going out

WHETHER you’re celebrating a special occasion or you’re just looking to blow off steam, going out can be pretty pricey nowadays.

If you’re planning a night out, consumer reporter Olivia Marshall explains how you can cut costs.

Location, location

Have budgets in mind when choosing where to celebrate.

For example, pricey London used to be the most popular destination for partying, but Liverpool has since overtaken the capital.

The Merseyside city offers a more purse-friendly night out, according to party company Fizzbox.

Drink to that

Save cash with a few pre-club bevvies.

Aldi is popular for its cheap and delicious prosecco.

Bars like Revolutions have 2-4-1 cocktails if you book a table during Happy Hour, and signing up to the O’Neill’s newsletter will get you a free drink.

Try something new

Many local venues host free or low-cost comedy nights.

Check out comedy clubs, bars, or community centres in your area for events that won’t cost you a penny.

It’s a great way to discover new comedians while enjoying a night out without breaking the bank.
