HAMLEYS has revealed its top ten Christmas toys – and there’s a Playdoh ice cream and Peppa Pig on roller skates on the list.

Dolls, Barbies and a remote controlled car are all tipped as sell-out toys, which ranges in price from £22 to £100.

There are a number of well-known branded items included as well, from Peppa Pig to CoComelon and Buzz Lightyear.

Victoria Kay, head of buying at Hamleys, said: “With iconic characters featuring in the list, we know we have chosen the very best, most wanted toys, from strong brands that will be cherished by families as they grow.”

Of course, it’s always worth looking around for the best deals and factoring in delivery costs on top.

Just because a retailer has products on sale that doesn’t mean you can’t find it cheaper elsewhere.

Sites such as Pricespy.co.uk and CamelCamelCamel will be able to tell you if you can get something cheaper elsewhere.

Meanwhile, price monitoring site PriceHistory.co.uk can tell you if Tesco has ever stocked the same toys for less to give you an indication of when the best time to buy is.

However, we found one for sale at Smyths Toys for £84.99.

It’s suitable for kids three years and over and also features lights, sounds, speech and music.

You can get hold of one for £37, and they came in at the same price in Argos and Selfridges.

It’s to be used between groups of two to five and recommended for three-year-olds and over.

It’s on sale for £27 at Hamleys but when we checked elsewhere we found it for £22.99 on Very.co.uk.

When this toy is lifted off the ground light and sound effects play and vapour comes out of its jetpack.

It’s recommended for three-year-olds and above and comes with three AAA batteries included in the cost which is £60.

However, we found it for £49.99 at Smyths.

They all come with animal face paint as well.

No batteries are required to use the toy which comes in at £33.

But Smyths was selling the same product for £25.99 down from £33 when we checked online.

This 24cm toy could be either a panda or a bear and comes as part of a series.

It’s suitable for any children and no batteries are needed.

Hamleys is selling it for £22. We couldn’t find it on sale anywhere else online.

This Jenga-like game gives you 15 or 30 seconds to pull out one block and place it on top before resetting a timer for the next player.

If you run out of time the bomb base explodes and you’re out.

The product comes with a dice, timer, base, four bombs, 42 blocks and 10 dare cards. It’s only suitable for children aged eight and over.

Batteries are included in the package which costs £34. Again we couldn’t find a similar product like this online.

It costs £70 but we found a similar product on sale on eBay for £65.17 and a used one for £29.99.
