GREGGS customers across the country are fuming after being able to get their hands on their morning fix due to a problem with the tills.
The pastry giant is said to have been hit by an IT glitch – seeing stores nationwide forced to close their doors.

The mass meltdown comes just days after two major supermarkets were hit with a major IT wipeout.
Dozens of Greggs customers have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to share their shock this morning.
Pastry lovers across the country – including in Newcastle, Westminster, Cardiff – have been up in arms.
One person wrote: “Why are all the Greggs closed?”

Another said: “All my local Greggs stores are closed because of technical issues, missing my morning coffee.”
One pastry lover wrote: “Tills down Greggs – awful start to the day.”
Another person quizzed: “Why are all of the stores in Newcastle city centre closed?”
Greggs told The Sun: “We are currently experiencing issues accepting payments in our shops.

“We are working to resolve this as soon as possible.”
Tesco was hit with a tech breakdown on Saturday, just hours after Sainsbury’s was swamped with similar issues.

It forced the supermarket to cancel some home deliveries.
Tesco did not specify how many customers or which regions are affected.
A spokesperson said: “We are working to fix a technical issue which has meant we have had to cancel some online orders that were due for delivery.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience.”
One disabled woman told The Sun that she found about her cancelled delivery in an email, but it didn’t tell her why.
Zoe, from Gloucestershire, suffers from chronic fatigue and long Covid and so relies on home deliveries to feed her family.
She said: “I’m going to have to get someone to pop to local shops for essentials to last my family until Monday night or use up today’s energy to go out. I’m a disabled single parent carer.
“I rely on twice weekly supermarket deliveries due to my disabilities. I can’t manage big shops in supermarkets.”
It came just hours after Sainsbury’s cancelled thousands of home deliveries and contactless payments collapsed following an overnight software update.
Argos and Habitat – which have concessions inside Sainsbury’s supermarkets – were also impacted.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said the supermarket’s IT systems were back up and running by 4.30pm on Saturday.
Hilton Lord said the store in Warlingham, Surrey, descended into chaos as staff warned motorists of the IT failure as they arrived in the car park.

He told The Sun: “The end result was a massive tailback, as cars waited to get in and blocked the traffic going straight on.
“Inside, the cash-only service points were working, but not the card-only ones.”

FROM hot sausage rolls to custard caramel doughnuts, Greggs treats are loved by foodies up and down the country.
But according to one Greggs employee, there’s one specific item staff can’t stand customers ordering – so, are you guilty of ruining their day?
In a post shared to Reddit, the anonymous member of staff started a thread saying: “I work at Greggs reply with any questions you want to know.”
And it wasn’t long before intrigued social forum users took full advantage of the offer and raced to the comments section to ask away.
“Is there any product you hate hearing ordered?” asked one.
The staff member gave a very particular answer, before offering a valid reason as to why.
“Cheese and onion pasties they always burst in the oven where we always have to remake them,” they said.
