SHOPPERS are rushing to Sainsbury’s to nab giant bags of Quality Street chocolates scanning for just £2.50 at the tills.

Originally the Quality Street refill packs were selling for £8 but a few weeks after Christmas supermarkets have slashed prices in hopes of getting rid of their extra stock.

The bargain was shared in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.

A happy shopper said: “£2.50 in Sainsbury’s Truro.”

“The shelf had £8 but I had seen in this group they were £4 so scanned and bingo.”

The shopper explained that she was clearing the shelves to give the chocolates as a gift to others.

She said: “Yes I cleared the shelf as my sister is having a few bags and I’ve taken some to the care home where my mum is as a little treat for the staff.”

The post racked up over 155 likes and 25 comments with several group members saying they would have cleared the shelves too.

One user said: “Well done I would have done the same haha.”

“Good for you clearing the shelf, may as well get a bargain!” said another.

A third shopper added: “Great bargain at the end of the day they are there to be bought and is not as if they are essentials so my opinion is buy as much as you like … enjoy.”

Inside the bag, you’ll find a variety of types of your favourite iconic individually wrapped milk and dark chocolates, toffees, and fruit cremés.

This pouch includes the famous Green Triangle and The Purple One.

The chocolates are currently listed assold out online so you’ll have to head into a Sainsbury’s store if you want to get your hands on these.

And of course, if you’re not fussed about buying a refill pack specifically you can still find Quality Street chocolates in other supermarkets.

All the recent changes to Quality Street treats in recent months have definitely kept chocolate lovers on their toes.

One shopper was left devastated by the brands new paper wrappers as she swore she’d never buy them again.

Shoppers have been rushing to nab the individual-flavoured chocolate bars Quality Street has put out as well.

And the beloved coffee cream flavour returned last Christmas for the first time in 20 years.
