Shoppers can choose from a range of colours, including charcoal, hot pink, sage and heather.

The set comes with a 4.9 out of 5 star rating on Dunelm’s website – and thousands of 5 star reviews.

And some customers have even ended up ditching their electric blankets in favour of the household item, helping them to save money on their energy bills.

One shopper said: “Absolutely love my new bedding not only because they finally made it in green but because it’s so warm and cuddly.

“We got rid of the electric blanket. Only downside is it is so hard to get out of bed in the morning.”

Another said: “I have not felt cold in bed once, which is amazing because I normally have my electric blanket running all night.

“The electric blanket is now folded away in my wardrobe which makes me feel much safer.”

Meanwhile, a third added: “I was a bit sceptical about these but decided to give it a go as suggested by my sister.

Anyone looking to snap up one of the bed sets at a reduced price will have to be quick as Dunelm’s up to 50% off sale ends today (January 21).

If you’re looking to get it delivered to your home, there is a £3.95 charge for standard delivery while express delivery is £6.95.

Click and collect is free, as is standard home delivery if you spend over £49.

Of course, always remember to shop around when buying something like this as you might find it cheaper elsewhere.

We had a quick look online to see if any other retailers are selling a Teddy duvet set for less than Dunelm and one is.

Online Home Shop is selling a single duvet and pillowcase set for £8, down from £13. Meanwhile, its double set is £11 down from £18.

Both come with a £3.95 home delivery charge.

How else to save money on energy bills

While opting for soft bed sheets can help you save money on bills, electric blankets do have their advantages.

They’re significantly cheaper than turning the heating on, with the average 24 kilowatt boiler costing £1.68 an hour to run.

In comparison, electric blankets cost from as little as 1p an hour to run.

Heated throws are another great option to save money, as well as portable heaters.
