GOOGLE TV has added over 30 Oscar-nominated films to its platform ahead of the 2024 Academy Awards.

Launched in 2010, Google TV is a user interface running on top of Android TV that allows users to stream content.

And to celebrate the Oscars, which are taking place this coming Sunday, the service has added several new titles for streaming.

These films, which have all been nominated for Oscars in the past, are completely free to stream.

However, watchers will need to sit through the occasional advertisements in return.

The list covers titles from the 1960s to the early 2000s, including blockbuster hits like The Big Short and Forrest Gump.

Some other popular movies now available for streaming include Babel, and Dances with Wolves.

Monster’s Ball and the cult classic Pan’s Labyrinth are also now available to watch.

Google TV comes built-in to smart TVs and streaming devices from top brands.

It comes at no charge and typically with no app installation, sign-up, or subscription needed.

You can browse Google TV channels in the “Live” tab, your recommendations, or the Google TV channel player.

OSCARS 2024

The 96th edition of the Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024.

The event will air live on ABC in more than 200 territories.
