Google said it would identify healthcare facilities that provide abortion services in its maps and search functions amid pressure from employees to do more on the issue in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.

The Alphabet unit on Thursday said it has been working on the update for months and will rely on information provided by a business or authoritative data source to label what services a facility provides.
