THERE’S nothing like the Easter break to make you think about getting the garden summer-ready.

One of the latest trends is outdoor furniture for children — and it’s the cutest thing I’ve seen in a long time. So to cheer us all up after a tough year, take a look at these deals . . .

MINI PICNIC: A dedicated picnic bench just for little ones? Totally adorable. Ikea has the lovely mini wooden Reso table, which looks like a pub table, for £30. But Lidl is selling the Florabest kids’ picnic bench for £29.99. And while that is only a penny cheaper, it comes with added red-and-white-striped cushions for the benches, so this is better value.

TAKE A SEAT: We all like our own comfy place to sit in the garden — even little ’uns. If you head to manomano.com you can find a very chic children’s garden table and seat set, but it’s a pricey £99.99. Instead, get two fold-out kids’ chairs and mini parasol set for £30 at Asda. Or if you want something even simpler, a fold-out little chair with attached parasol is just £8 at B&M.

SWING IN: A retro addition to any garden is the shaded double swing chair — and it is now available in mini size, too. There is a striped pink one for £62.99 at onbuy.com. But George at Asda has a green and yellow double swing chair for £40, saving you £22.99. Or head to The Range, where a monkey-themed option is even cheaper at just £34.99.

GAZEB-OH!: When playing in the sun all day, we all need a bit of shade to cool off. Kids will love the fetching princess pink gazebo with curtains for £16.99 at with onbuy.com. However, I like the multi-coloured one at B&M for £20. I’ve seen it for double the price at Amazon and eBay, so get one in-store quick.
