A SUPER-saver has revealed the key to bagging the best Marks & Spencer yellow-sticker deals.

The canny shopper with an eye for a bargain also revealed the key times you need to be aware of to ensure you bag a bargain.

TikTok influencer known as “Freeloading Chaz” shared his top tips with is 4,000 followers in a recent clip online.

He said: “Here’s how to get the best yellow sticker in M&S.

“I’ve been stalking yellow sticker ladies for weeks now, here’s everything I’ve learned.

“Do go when the store first opens, they sticker some stuff the night before so if you get there for opening you’re guaranteed to find some yellow stickers.”

‘Chaz added: “But these aren’t the best bargains the best yellow stickers go on about 3 or 4 o’clock depending on the store.

“But if you can hold out until about 6pm that’s when the double yellow stickers go on.

“Equally, if you can hold out until 8pm, that’s when you get triple yellow stickers – the very best deals to be had.

“They’re freaking out it’s not going to sell; they’re practically giving it away.”

Even though the video clip was uploaded less than a day ago it has already picked up 6,437 likes and dozens of comments.

And fans were appreciative of the information.

One commentator wrote: “Ah, you’re a modern day hero.”

Another added: “MSc in yellow stickers.”

While a third said: “This is useful! What about on Sunday hours?”
With ‘Chaz’ replying he would ask the yellow sticker ladies.

M&S though isn’t the only supermarket chain that can offer big-money reductions.

Keeping an eye out for reduced-to-clear items in the supermarket can bag you savings of up to 75 per cent.

Almost all the major supermarkets mark items down, but there is no hard and fast rule as to when to they do it.

The time of day and the amount of discount varies depending on where you shop.

However, there might be a way to make sure that you are in your favourite supermarket at the right time.

Aldi

If you are an Aldi shopper you should be looking out for red clearance stickers in the morning from 8am.

According to the deals website, this is the best chance you have of getting at least 50 per cent off reduced items.

If food is approaching its use-by date this discount could increase to as much as 75 per cent.

Asda

Asda shoppers should be on the lookout for bargains in the morning, so set your alarm clocks.

However, if you are not so much of an early bird, don’t panic as there may be additional discounts at around 7pm.

One savvy shopper named Katie Robbo couldn’t believe her luck when she visited her local Asda – only to find various food items reduced to just 10p each.

Taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, she penned: “My bargains yesterday at Asda!

“All this for £13.03 (including two 30p bags as I only took 1 in with me lol) most of it was 10p each.”

Alongside the caption, she shared an image revealing the food items she got for cut price – including sweet and sour chicken and rice, spaghetti bolognese, Frubes, steak pie and two roast chickens.

Co-op

Yellow stickers can be found throughout the day at Co-op so keep your eyes peeled.

It does vary by store, but the discounts can be big.

Final reductions offer 75 per cent off.

Co-op members can also get more money off certain products through its “Members Prices” offering.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook page one shopper clocked the discounts after bagging five items for less.

The Co-op customer said: “My local Co-op, doing five items for £5 if you have a Co-op card, or five items for £6.”

Iceland

Discounts vary again at Iceland stores, but yellow stickers on fresh foods are available in the morning.

One Iceland fan managed to add a 2kg joint of gammon to their basket for just £2.50, by heading to the supermarket first thing in the morning.

The shopper revealed this on Facebook page Reduce Your Supermarket Spend.

“I highly recommend checking out Iceland yellow labels in the morning,” she told the group.”

Lidl

Lidl shoppers need to look out for orange clearance stickers in the morning.

The orange stickers indicate 30% off.

The discount supermarket also has “waste not” stickers, which are green and often have items priced down to 20p or 70p.

Morrisons

Evening shoppers will usually get the best deals in Morrisons, as that is when they usually make their reductions.

Latedeals.co.uk also recommends getting a £3.49 Magic Box from Too Good To Go, which contains about £10 worth of food.

The Too Good to Go app works by taking food that is due to be thrown out and passing it on to consumers for free or at a discounted rate.

You can pick up items from chains such as Greggs, Costa and Morrisons and even Harvester and Yo! Sushi.

Bear in mind when you order from Too Good To Go that it is pot luck what arrives in your box, so it might not be a good idea for picky eaters.

Sainsbury’s

There are a few chances throughout the day to get a deal at Sainsbury’s.

Discounts start in the store at 25% at 1pm, increasing to 50% at 5pm and then to as much as 75% at 8pm.

Sainsbury’s shoppers can also grab of fresh fruit and veg at a bargain price of £2 – and it could feed a family for four to five days.

The boxes can be found in Sainsbury’s fresh produce aisles in an orange box labelled “taste me, don’t waste me” and are subject to availability – so it’s best to get in early.

The boxes can be found in over 200 major Sainsbury’s stores.

Tesco

Yellow stickers in Tesco can start in the afternoon, so keep your eyes peeled.

They tend to reduce items such as fresh meat, fish, fruit and veg and bakery items.

The supermarket has made a major change to yellow stickers in some stores by giving them a major rebrand.

Now discounted items are labelled as reduced to clear on the shelves. rather than having stickers.

At the time the change was announced, Tesco chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini said: “ We want customers to spend less at Tesco, and our ‘reduced in price’ sections in stores now offer the reassurance that these products are just as nice and are another reminder there’s great value to be found on every aisle at Tesco.”

Waitrose

Discounts in Waitrose vary from store to store but usually start in the afternoon and then increase towards closing time.

One savvy mum shared how she managed to bag 12 salmon fillets worth £35 for just £2.10 when they were reduced to 35p a packet.

Posting on the Facebook group Scrimping on a Budget she said: “The time to go!! Waitrose at 3:30 Sunday afternoon.”

By checking the aisles half an hour before the shops close on a Sunday, the mum stumbled upon some hugely discounted items.

Along with her mini salmon stockpile, the woman also paid 75p for three packets of lamb mince that would have otherwise set her back £13.50.
